They must have proper capitalization.
They must have proper punctuation.

A journal done correctly is worth 50 points per month.

Tuesday, September 23--What are some good ways to learn vocabulary?

Thursday, September 25--Is democracy the best political system?  Why or why not?
Friday, September 26--Why do you think Idaho Falls developed as a major city where it did?  Are there geographical or other reasons?  Explain.

Tuesday, September 30--Give two good things about living in a large city such as New York and two bad things about living in a large city.
Wednesday, October 1---Should the United States be the world's policeman or should we mind our own business?  Why?
Thursday, October 2--What is one problem you see that is facing American society?
